Nobel Laureate Albert Schweitzer once wrote that: “success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. I believe this surmises my tenure here at Topdot. Nothing gives me more pleasure than structuring a tough deal that improves a client’s quality of life or one that puts a family in their first home
Graduating from the University of Maryland in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a minor in Business Management, I always knew that my niche would be in the financial world. I began my career with the company as a telemarketer. Over time, and with a great deal of hard work, I earned the right to be called a Mortgage Specialist in 2002. That year, I was also the top producer in the company. But to me, production is not the most gratifying aspect of my abilities as a Mortgage Specialist at Topdot.
What is most rewarding is the depth and breadth of my experience as a credit specialist. By educating, consolidating debt, removing deleterious accounts and satisfying judgments, I have helped families all over the country restore their creditworthiness. In doing so, I have built a substantial network of referral clientele varying from low income families in impoverished neighborhoods all the way up to celebrities like Doug E. Fresh.
I am most proud of my team: Platinum. In 2003, I became a manager of the first team at Topdot to be built from the ground up. In typical fashion, my drive to be successful spurred others to flourish as well. That year, Platinum generated more per capita than any other team in the company. The team continues to thrive and I am proud to say that in the new fiscal year, Team Platinum will begin its new phase in our own office in Bethpage, and I will begin my career as a branch manager!
