I had almost given up when I saw the TV advertisement for Topdot. I called and spoke with Joel Borgella. I have to admit I was skeptical that the refinance would go through up until I put pen to paper. "I, like many people in this country, got myself caught up in an adjustable rate mortgage NIGHTMARE!! Sure the rate was low for a few years... but then it started to reset every six months, and when the housing market started to boom several years back, so did my mortgage costs. It didn’t take long to start falling behind on other bills because more and more of my income had to be diverted to my mortgage lender. My credit took a nose dive as I began to slide further and further into a credit crisis and creditors moved me from current into collections status. I struggled for years and was quickly coming to my last resort conclusion that I would have to sell my home in less than favorable conditions. I could no longer see my home as an asset because of my ARM nightmare. My American dream of owning my own home was starting to slip from my grasp. Alex’s' can do attitude and her uplifting personality and customer service skills made me feel relaxed, confident, and excited that my situation was gaining momentum and was quickly changing for the better, and when I say quickly, I mean QUICKLY!! From my first call, to final closing with "check-in-hand" the process took less than 3 weeks.

Even with my low credit score and a handful of credit accounts either delinquent, charged off, or in collections, Alex was able to provide me with a fixed rate mortgage at 6.5% for 30 years. 6.5 % !!!! WOW. My ARM mortgage at one point was as high as 11.125%. SHE CUT MY RATE ALMOST IN HALF!! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that was even possible. Just when I thought that things couldn’t possibly get any better, I was proven wrong. As Alex and I worked through the mortgage process, Alex helped me use the equity in my home to clean up ALL the bad dings on my credit report, AND she saved me TWO MONTHS mortgage payments!! That two month savings has now become my emergency cushion, tucked away in a savings account for unforeseen or unexpected expenses.

I have never written a testimonial in my life but I could not just sit here and do nothing. I feel compelled to spread the word about my experience with Topdot Mortgage and with Alex.
